Madrid is simply bursting at the seams with nice places to eat. No matter what you’re looking for you’ll find it here – from a McDonalds to a gourmet meal. If you want to do as the Madrilenos do, have a small breakfast, a decent enough lunch and have dinner like a king, dinner is never before 9pm though. Seriously, some people only come here for the food – basically if you like food you won’t go home disappointed.

If you want to go shopping we suggest you use the Puerta Del Sol as your starting point. Check out Serrano Street for high quality designer gear, as well as Calle Carmen and Preciados, all near the Puerta Del Sol. Preciados Street is a pedestrianised street and this is where you’ll find the El Cortes Ingles, Spain’s biggest and best department store.
