The Vincci Centrum Hotel stands at Cedaceros 4, just off the bustling Calle Alcala. The city centre's liveliest plazas including Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor are only a short stroll away. Also, its location just around the corner from Sevilla metro stop make it the perfect base for exploring all Spain's capital city has to offer - basically what you can't reach on foot is really easy to get to by metro.

The street itself is quiet, so we reckon if you stay here you have the best of both worlds - everything's on your doorstep yet you get a good nights sleep.

You can get around Madrid easily and quickly using its excellent public transport network.

Metro - Sevilla Metro Station is only just a few short steps away, it couldn't be easier!

Train - the nearest train station is Atocha Station. From Atocha Renfe take metro line 1 (blue line) as far as Sol. Here, change to line 2 (red line) to Sevilla, which is only one stop away.

Bus - the following bus routes stop at Puerta del Sol: N1, 2, 5, 51, 147 and 150. Follow directions as above to the hotel. Puerta del sol is only one stop away by metro or a 5-10 minute walk away.

How To Get From The Nearest Airport
Barajas International Airport is the nearest, only about 13km away. There are a number of ways to get from the airport to Hotel Vincci Centrum.

Shuttle Service - the hotel operates a shuttle service to and from the airport. There's a charge for the service and you have to request it in advance.

Taxi - getting a taxi is definitely the least hassle option but it's also the most expensive at around EUR30.00 - EUR35.00.

Metro - the only metro line that operates from the airport is line 8. You can hop on the metro from the ground floor of Terminal 2 - just follow the signs. Take line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios (last stop). Switch to line 10 as far as Noviclado and then take line 2 as far as the Sevilla stop.

Bus - you can also take a bus from the airport as far as the city centre underground bus station - Plaza de Colon. The airport bus is the 'blue bus' and one leaves the airport roughly every 15-20 minutes. It costs around EUR2.50 for a single ticket. From here you can connect with the metro - take line four to the Goya stop and switch to line 2 to Sevilla.
How To Get To Madrid's Top Attractions
The hotel is situated just off Calle Alcala. It's a perfect base for exploring the city's top attractions while people watching on its bustling plazas is not to be missed either!

The half moon shaped plaza, Puerta del Sol, otherwise known as (kilometre zero), marks the city centre. From the hotel turn left onto Calle Alcala and you'll see the popular plaza straight ahead.

Another popular square is Plaza de Cibeles. It's focal point is a fountain, Cibeles Fountain, and this is where Real Madrid Fans meet when there's a match on. Turn right onto Calle Alcala and the plaza is about a 5-minute walk away.

Plaza Mayor is about a 5-minute walk from Puerta del Sol along Calle Mayor. The Royal Palace and the Royal Opera House can both be easily reached from here. From Plaza Mayor continue along Calle Mayor and turn right onto Calle Bailen. The Royal Palace is to your left and the Royal Opera House is on your right hand side.

Three of the city's most visited art museums are the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia Museum and the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum. These form a triangle known as 'The Art Triangle' or 'The Golden Triangle'. To get here take line 2 (red line) as far as Sol and switch to line 1 (blue line) to Atocha. The entrance to the Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art is right here just off the square. For the other two walk along Paseo del Prado (you'll see the Botanical Gardens to your right). The first one you come to is the Prado Museum, on the right. While the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum is further along on the left.

Retiro Park or Parque del Retiro, as it is locally known, is 330 acre green space behind the Botanical Gardens - ideal for a picnic!

If you like shopping, Madrid has some fantastic shopping options. Puerta del Sol is home to a number of department stores including the very popular El Corte Ingles. Here you're sure to find everything you're looking for under one roof.

No trip to Madrid would be complete without a night on the town. There are plenty nightspots to choose from including Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Santa Ana.
