The Royal Palace was the home of Spain’s Kings and Queens from 1734 and 1931. With almost 3,000 bedrooms and extensive grounds, it cannot be missed – only 30 of the rooms are open to the public though. It’s located on Calle Bailen, just west of Plaza Mayor, the city’s largest square.
