Royal Botannical Garden

Madrid
This place is the perfect spot for a siesta. It is quite close to Madrid’s popular attractions so it is an ideal location for a quick lunch and break.

It was designed by Francesco Sabatini and Juan de Villanueva and is now part of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research. It is located on the Paseo del Prado and controls a total land zone of 20 acres.

You’ll see an amazing selection of plants, trees, wild roses, herb gardens, vegetables and many more. It is split into three sections and has two green houses. The focal points include the Exhibition Greenhouse, The Villanueva (also known as the winter garden) and the Graells Greenhouse.

The exhibition Greenhouse houses state of the art technology and an array of tropical, subtropical and desertic flora and fauna, which are essential for studying the ecosystem.

Other services and products on offer here include the library, exhibitions, concerts, access for people with disabilities and conferences.
